Sarah Pia Anderson began her career in Britain directing for theatre and television.
Trained by the BBC Sarah directed award winning films and series for British television. Her work on PRIME SUSPECT, the Emmy Award winning mini-series starring Helen Mirren, launched her career in Los Angeles where she now lives and works.
Sarah has directed early episodes of television dramas GILMORE GIRLS, HUFF, UGLY BETTY, VERONICA MARS, GREY’S ANATOMY, and BIG LOVE. All of which have gone on to win major awards including the Peabody, Golden Globe and Emmy.
In the UK she directed the pilot and first episode of (BAFTA nominated series) SCOTT & BAILEY.
Her recent work includes opening episodes of BACKSTROM (NBC), THE DIVIDE (AMC) and HAND OF GOD (Amazon).
